Bush Wholesalers, Inc. was established in 1963 by Milton Light & Hy Mancher in the Bush Terminal building located at 130 West 42nd Street in Manhattan. Bush started small, distributing only grilles and registers manufactured by the now defunct Grillmaster, manufactured locally in Brooklyn. The offices were located on an upper floor and their inventory was located in an old bank vault in the basement.

The next decade brought growth, a move to Brooklyn and new partners Norman Graff and Milton’s son, Edward Light. It also brought the unfortunate early passing of the founders.

Under new ownership the company began to grow in size and product offerings. Eventually outgrowing their space, Bush moved down the block to it’s current location at 637 Sackett Street.

The early Nineties brought the retirement of Mr. Graff and the addition of “Eddie’s” son Leigh. The company’s continued growth lead to the creation of the Bush Sales plan & spec division.

After Eddie’s retirement in 2010, Bush is now a successful third generation family business and looks forward to a continued partnership with both our trusted vendors and customers for further growth in the years to come.
